Amaka Okocha, a Nigerian-Canadian gospel singer, released a new single titled “Onye Ike (Wonder working God)” on February 28, 2023. The song, which she wrote, is an inspiring and uplifting piece that celebrates the awesomeness of God and His ability to work wonders in the lives of His children.
In “Onye Ike,” Amaka emphasizes the unchanging nature of God’s word and His faithfulness to His promises. She describes God as the Trinity, the fourth man in the fire, and the soon-coming King who can rebuild broken walls and lives. Through her lyrics, Amaka encourages listeners to trust in God and hold onto Him no matter the storms of life, assuring them that He can fix any situation beyond their expectations.
Apart from being a talented singer and songwriter, Amaka is also a certified coach, fashion designer, and strategic leadership and human resources consultant. She started singing at a young age and honed her skills in her church choir.
