Forge FC Re-Signs Senegalese Midfielder Elimane Cissé for 2024 Season
Forge FC has officially announced the return of Senegalese midfielder Elimane Cissé to the club with a multi-year contract. Cissé, a two-time Canadian Premier League (CPL) champion with Forge FC, rejoins the team ahead of the 2024 CPL Season after his departure in 2022 to play for Moroccan side Union Touarga.
During his initial stint with Forge FC from 2019 to 2021, Cissé made 74 appearances, scoring 3 goals and providing 4 assists across all competitions. He played a pivotal role in securing two CPL titles for the club in 2019 and 2020. Known for his dynamism and versatility, Cissé has demonstrated his ability to play multiple positions within the Forge FC system.
Cissé, who hails from Senegal, has extensive experience on the international stage, representing Senegal 12 times at the senior level and 19 times at the youth level. Notably, he was a semi-finalist at the 2015 FIFA U20 World Cup in New Zealand.
