Nigerian-Canadian Beauty Obasuyi to Embark on Guinness World Record Cook-a-thon!
Beauty Obasuyi, the enterprising Nigerian-Canadian behind Naija Jollof, a renowned Nigerian fast-food chain across six Ontario locations, is set to rewrite history by attempting the Guinness World Record for the ‘Longest Cooking Marathon by an Individual.’
Scheduled from January 10th to the 18th at Brampton’s Naija Jollof spot on 295A Queen St. East, Beauty aims to etch her name in history by setting a new Guinness World Record for the lengthiest solo cooking marathon.
This challenge originated from Hilda Baci of Lagos, Nigeria, who cooked for an astounding 100 hours, surpassing the prior record set by Lata Tondon of India for 87 hours and 45 minutes. Recently, Alan Fisher from Ireland took it further, cooking an impressive 119 hours and 57 minutes. Meanwhile, Ghanaian Chef Faila Abdul Razak is currently attempting a 120-hour record in West Africa.
To support Beauty Obasuyi’s Guinness World Record endeavor, she has curated a wish list, aiding her in this significant culinary pursuit: Beauty’s Wish List.
