Valour FC’s Pacifique Niyongabire Called Up for Burundi National Team Duty

Pacifique Niyongabire, the new forward for Valour FC, is making headlines as he joins the Burundian national team for a friendly tune-up against Indonesia in late March. The 23-year-old has been making waves in the Canadian Premier League since joining Valour FC from Perth Glory FC.
Niyongabire has been a recent addition to the national team and has already made a name for himself by scoring in a friendly win over the Guinea U-23 side. As Valour FC rebuilds its squad for the 2023 CPL season, Niyongabire is one of the thirteen new faces in the team.
With several other CPL athletes also representing their countries, Canadian soccer is on the rise. Valour FC will be hoping that international recruits like Niyongabire will help them secure a spot in the playoffs after an expansion to the postseason format.
